The Fraser River is home to the White Sturgeon, the largest fresh water fish in North America. These prehistoric fish can live close to 200 years, and grow to over 1000 pounds. With some fish exceeding over 12 feet in length, these monster fish are known for their impressive strength and tail walking leaps and jumps, and can peel 100 yards of line off the reel in seconds. This is a catch and release fishery we all take great pride in. As Professional Guides, we practice the “Best Handling Practices” for Sturgeon and are actively involved in the “Fraser River Sturgeon Conservation Tagging Program“. This is to ensure the fishery remains strong and viable for future generations.
